Sales consultancy for agencies
Agencies win work on their craft, then stall on their sales.
EGC helps creative, marketing and media agencies build a sales function that brings in clients on purpose rather than by referral and luck. That means outbound that actually books meetings, a process that turns those meetings into signed work, and someone experienced holding the whole thing together while your team gets on with delivery.
Four ways I work with agencies
Most agencies need one of these more urgently than the others, so we start with the part that is costing you the most and build outwards from there.
Outbound systems
Building the machine that fills your calendar: defining who is genuinely worth targeting, building clean lists, writing sequences that sound like a person rather than a template, and running the follow-up discipline that turns a cold list into booked meetings. You end up with a documented system your team can run without me.
Sales process and closing
Fixing the part where good conversations quietly go cold. We rework discovery so you understand the commercial problem before you pitch, tighten how you present and price the work, handle objections properly instead of discounting, and put a follow-up cadence in place so proposals get decisions rather than silence.
End to end
Pipeline generation through to closed deals, treated as one connected system. This suits agencies who know the whole commercial side needs rebuilding rather than patching, and who want one person accountable for the number from first touch to signed contract.
Fractional Sales Director
Embedded as your part-time sales leader, running the pipeline reviews, coaching whoever is selling, holding the forecast honest and giving founders somewhere to take commercial decisions. The right fit when you need sales leadership but not yet a full-time hire on the payroll.
How it works
No long discovery phases before anything useful happens. The first fortnight is about understanding what you sell and where it breaks down, and after that we are building.
An honest look at the pipeline
We go through where your last dozen clients actually came from, what your win rate looks like, and where deals are dying. Most agencies are surprised by at least one of those three answers.
A plan you could run without me
You get the positioning, the target list, the messaging and the process written down in plain language, priced and sequenced so you can see what happens in which month rather than buying an open-ended retainer.
Build and run it together
I set the system up and work it alongside your team, whether that means sitting in on calls, writing the sequences, or leading the pitch until your people are comfortable doing it themselves.
Hand it over
The point is that you keep the capability. Everything is documented, your team is trained on it, and I stay involved only as long as that is genuinely useful to you.
Who this is for
The work lands best with agencies who are good at what they deliver and know that the commercial side has never had the same attention.
A good fit if
- Most of your work still arrives through referrals and you have no reliable way to create new conversations
- You are pitching regularly but losing more of those pitches than you should
- Founders are still doing all the selling and it is capping how much the agency can grow
- You have someone in a sales seat who needs a system and a leader rather than more targets
Probably not a fit if
- You want leads bought in bulk with no involvement from your side
- You are looking for a one-off training day rather than a change in how you sell
- The service itself is not yet clear enough to sell consistently
- Nobody internally has the time to work on this alongside delivery
Tell me where it's stuck
Send a short note about your agency and what the sales side currently looks like, and I will come back with a straight answer on whether I can help and what that would involve. If it isn't a fit I will say so.
